Pomp, pageantry and awards marked the official gathering in George Town on Saturday in observance of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday.
Twelve people were honoured by Acting Governor Donovan Ebanks, followed by the announcement of the 2011 birthday honours recipients by Acting Deputy Governor Franz Manderson.
The observance also included a parade, the customary 21-gun salute and three cheers and a prayer and the national song. The observance marked the Queen’s 85th birthday.
